This notice explains how Alby (“we”, “us”), a brand of Aspire Digital Group, collects and handles your personal information when you sign up for Alby Start Free. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
When you complete the sign-up form we collect: your name, business name, industry, email, phone number, optional website and social media links, the Alby services you’re interested in, and your consent and marketing preferences. We also record technical metadata (IP address, browser user-agent and referring page) for security and fraud prevention.
Your information is stored in secured databases hosted on infrastructure operated for Aspire Digital Group. Access is restricted to authorised personnel. We retain your information for as long as your listing is active. If you do not proceed with a listing, we will delete or de-identify the personal information collected through this form within 24 months of your last contact with us, unless we are required to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers (for example, email delivery and hosting providers) only to operate the service, and where required by law. Business listing details you provide are intended to be shown publicly on Alby.
Some of our service providers operate overseas. In particular, our email-delivery provider (Twilio SendGrid) is located in the United States, so by submitting this form you consent to your contact details being disclosed to, and stored in, the United States for the purpose of sending you transactional and (where you have opted in) marketing emails. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Under the Privacy Act you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To make a request or raise a privacy concern, contact us at hello@myalby.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
